COVID19 Emergency Grant Opportunities For Colorado

COVID19 Emergency Grant Opportunities For Colorado

A good friend of mine who works for a nonprofit - Nurturing Minds, Inc. - recently sent me information on grants available in Colorado that she found as she was searching for grant opportunities for the Nurturing Minds organization. I asked her if I could share this information and she readily agreed! I hope you find it helpful.  And, if you're interested, here is a link to Nurturing Minds website -

Here is what she sent to me:

Hello, Colorado friends. I am searching for COVID-19 emergency grant opportunities for our school in Tanzania and came across some that could benefit your area. Take a look and please forward to anyone you think they could help. Hope you are well!

Coronavirus (COVID-19) has created far-reaching economic and social impacts across Colorado and beyond. Coloradans who live daily without access to critical services and opportunities due to race and socioeconomic status are being especially hit hard and disproportionately affected. The Colorado COVID Relief Fund’s purpose is to raise and coordinate allocation of funds based on prevention, impact and recovery needs of community-based organizations in Colorado. This Fund is organized to ensure that the most acute community needs across the state are being addressed and that community voice is reflected in all funding decisions made over time. Through this Fund, eligible community-based organizations across Colorado may receive a general operating grant of up to $25,000.

This is for female business owners --
Application Deadline: Applications will be accepted starting on April 6, May 4, June 1, July 6, and August 3, 2020.
The Red Backpack Fund, an initiative of The Spanx by Sara Blakely Foundation managed by GlobalGiving, will make at least 1,000 grants of $5,000 each to female entrepreneurs in the U.S. to help alleviate the immediate needs and support the long-term recovery of those impacted by this crisis. Eligible applicants include majority women-owned businesses and nonprofits with annual revenues less than $5M, at least one additional paid employee, and fewer than 50 individuals on staff.

Restaurant workers, drivers, gig workers --
Geographic Scope:

The One Fair Wage Emergency Fund is providing cash assistance to restaurant workers, car service drivers, delivery workers, personal service workers, and more who need the money they aren’t getting to survive. At the moment, the Fund is prioritizing tipped workers, gig workers and service workers in California, Colorado, the District of Columbia, Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. However, they are currently taking applications nationally and are actively raising money to support workers in all states as soon as possible.
